The Jbn Sound Ceiling® offers a modular directional speaker system solution, delivering superior amplified music quality while effectively mitigating noise complaints. Unlike traditional speaker setups, it achieves significant sound pressure reductions without requiring expensive building modifications, sound barriers, or walls. Indoor installations yield a minimum reduction of 10dB outside the venue, while outdoor setups achieve at least a 15dB reduction. These figures are derived from direct comparisons between conventional speaker systems and The Jbn Sound Ceiling, operating at equivalent sound pressure levels.
How does it work?
Utilising Plane Wave Technology, our system achieves remarkable reductions in sound propagation and bass frequency transference. Each meticulously engineered panel ensures precise speaker alignment, ensuring perfect phase synchronization among all directional speakers. Essentially functioning as one cohesive unit, these speakers work harmoniously to create an expansive sound field. Housed over a dedicated area, the system acts like a "waterfall," enveloping listeners in immersive, high-quality, full-frequency sound.
What does it create?
The Jbn Sound Ceiling’s advanced audio directivity boosts music levels beneath the ceiling while minimising sound emissions outside the venue. For example, patrons can enjoy immersive experiences with up to 100dB under the ceiling, while noise levels stay around 85dB three meters away. This protects staff from excessive noise and enables easy conversations. Venue owners can create distinct audio zones in open layouts, such as separating sports bars and TAB's from dining areas while adhering to licensing regulations.
What does it achieve?
Focused sound is achieved by installing a series of Jbn audio modules directly over a primary entertainment space. This strategic placement ensures that sound is concentrated where it’s needed most. Within 1 meter from ​the Jbn audio ceiling area, sound reductions of 10dB are achieved. At 192m, a reduction of approximately 33dB is achieved. The Jbn ​Sound Ceiling ensures even sound distribution and full-frequency audio from 35Hz to 19,000Hz. Depending on the system's size, users can precisely control sound transmission down to 40Hz. This flexibility ensures optimal acoustic performance tailored to your venue's unique needs.
